Stage 2 -Intermediate
The Intermediate bonsai course consists of 6 x 3hr weekly lessons with one tutor per four students. Each lesson comprises:

2 1/4 hrs Workshop / Practical Lesson

The course builds upon the work covered in the Stage 1 course. Attending the next level of bonsai course is a valuable opportunity that enthusiasts should eagerly embrace. The world of bonsai is an intricate art that demands constant honing of skills and deep understanding. By participating in a follow-up course, individuals can delve deeper into the techniques and philosophies that underpin this ancient craft. It is a chance to refine one's skills, expand one's knowledge, and forge meaningful connections with like-minded individuals who share the same passion.
If considering to participate in Stage 2, please reflect on the Stage 1 curriculum and satisfy yourself that you are competent in each topic and comfortable with wiring and the fundamentals of design with minimal guidance.
The bulk of the course is “hands on” and participants should bring a plant to work on each week to maximise benefit.
Cost for 6wk course: Fees: Members $150, non members $200. (Non-Members can join for $40 and pay $150 for the course, saving $10). To join the club, click here before purchasing course tickets. This will allow you to purchase course tickets at a discounted rate.

Time and Dates: Classes starts Sunday 14th June 2026 10:00am - 1:00pm, refer to current calendar. Optional Visit to Bonsai World to select suitable material Sunday 31st May or 7th June (TBA) 2026 10:00am- 11:00am.
